For those who have not grasped the finer points of five day cricket test matches: I'm totally with you. But that said, watching it from a corporate box with a bunch of lovely people, a private waiter and a steady stream of snacks, food, wine and coffee is not half bad.
Today was the fourth day of a test between New Zealand and the West Indies, and actually provided some excitement. Within ten minutes of us arriving, one West Indian batsman had been knocked out by a 140km/h delivery to his helmet, while Brian Lara—probably one of the best batsmen in the world—had been dismissed from the first delivery; a feat that typically lands you with a little golden duck on the scorecard. If you know nothing about cricket, you might also get a laugh out of the match report. Seriously, it's funny.
And while I didn't bring any long lenses—because, in fact, I don't have any—here is a West Indian batsman, taking the long and lonely walk back to the sidelines after being dismissed.
