Argentina 2009

Argentina comes highly recommended as a travel destination—and doubly so for enthusiastic carnivores. For three weeks in early 2009, I toured the country with travel companion Sarah. Happily, we found lots of stuff to take pictures of.

Matt & Tina’s Wedding 2009

Matt and Tina got hitched on lovely Maraetai Beach, then had a party sprung on them at home in Beachlands. A few photos of the proceedings were snapped along the way.

French Polynesia 2008

In late 2008, I teamed up yet again with travel companion Sarah, and set off to French Polynesia to inventory all shades of turquoise currently known to man.

Mount Ruapehu 2008

We only managed one weekend of skiing this year, but it was the right weekend: On offer, a record 15 feet of snow, azure skies and glorious off-piste trails.

Vietnam 2008

Vietnam is all about good food, hot weather, fresh rice paddies, mad traffic and affordable luxury. I teamed up with travel companion Sarah to tour the country from Phu Quoc in the south to Halong Bay in the north.

Aquatica Fireworks 2008

Every January, Aucklanders celebrate the Auckland Anniversary Weekend with a waterfront festival. The highlight of the weekend is a massive fireworks display over the Waitemata Harbour.

Paul & Kirsty’s Wedding 2008

Paul and Kirsty got hitched in early 2008. I had the privilege of attending the wedding as a guest, with not a responsibility in the world. However, with everyone dressed up and absolutely beaming, a few shots had to be snapped.

California 2007

I went for a road trip around California in mid-2007, together with the very wonderful and famous Michelle. Was far too relaxed to get much photography done, but this gallery should give you a sense of the California atmosphere.

New Zealand South Island 2007

In early 2007, I finally managed to get enough time off work for a road trip around New Zealand’s ridiculously pretty South Island. Many thousand photos were taken over a span of three weeks—but here is a small sampler.

Fiji 2006

It seems that every year, the New Zealand summer takes longer to arrive. As a result, I tend to find myself desperate for some tropical beach action towards the end of the year. In 2006, Fiji’s remote Yasawa Islands provided the cure.

Western Samoa 2005

As above, but a year earlier, and for Western Samoa. Teamed up with travel buddy Joel and went in search of remote locations still untouched by mass tourism.

New Zealand 2002

I moved to New Zealand in 2002 and spent the first few months being awestruck by what the country had to offer. This sampler was mostly created to annoy all my friends back in Sweden—and it has met or exceeded the design specifications on all accounts. Caution: Some of the material in this gallery may contain explicit depictions of Pacific beaches, sun-kissed bays and tropical vegetation. Dwellers of northern Europe should proceed with caution.

Southeast Asia 2001

After finishing my MSc degree in Sweden, I teamed up with a trio of friends and shot off to Southeast Asia for some serious R&R. We toured Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore and snapped plenty of shots along the way.
