            <description><![CDATA[<p>Public service announcement: My cell phone number has changed! Please visit the <a href="/contact/">Contact</a> page to grab the most recent details.</p>

<p>Below, a communications device in the &#8220;Mobile Radio Section&#8221; of Saigon&#8217;s Reunification Palace. Judging by the combination of receiving and transmitting equipment, integrated power source and convenient carry handles, it would appear to be an early cell phone.</p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m amazed by the sheer precision of autopilots in commercial jets. Flying from Hue to Hanoi, in the enormous volume of airspace over central Vietnam, we had the contrail from another jet just meters off our port wing for virtually the entire duration of the flight.</p>

So instead, here&#8217;s another teaser: The pool at glorious Saigon Phu Quoc Resort and Spa on Phu Quoc island, near the Cambodian border. The place was a bit of alright: We could have stayed there for weeks.</p>
